You Are Cordially Invited to “The Saturday Evening Blog Post!”

Blogging has been a life-changing experience for me. I'm incredibly grateful for the wonderful, generous readers who visit here everyday.

In return, I'd like to do a little something for YOU!

I was talking with my friend Jennifer F. of Conversion Diary about her recent invitation to readers to submit one "Defining Post" from their blog. We agreed that it was super inspiring to read the wonderful stories and thoughts from so many different bloggers! 

So, we came up with a fun idea. Wouldn't it be cool to host a monthly "Defining Post" celebration? Jennifer said I should host it at my blog since she already hosts "7 Quick Takes" at her blog.

And I agreed! I would love to provide a forum for my readers to share some of their great blog posts. I've decided to call it THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST.

Here's how it will work:

  1. On the first Saturday of each month, I'll host the THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST here at my blog.
  2. You will pick one of YOUR posts from the last month of blogging to share. It can be anything you think is interesting and would like to share with others: a silly
    story, an inspiring story, a tasty recipe you tried, a stunning photo
    you took, a piece of art you created, a theological essay, a poem.  
  3. Then compose a new post on your blog called THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST and explain to your readers why you chose that particular post–how it inspired you, the backstory or little tidbits about that post. Then provide a link back to my blog so your readers can check out the other great submissions!
  4. Lastly, be sure to come here and insert a link to your specific post in the Mister Linky form I'll have ready!

I'm really looking forward to reading your submissions! THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST will begin this Saturday, September 5th@ 12:01am! Won't you come join me? I can't wait! This is going to be FUN!

    Last thought: the post will publish at 12am, Saturday. Just in case you want to get an early start, lol.
