Welcome to THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST!

This is where bloggers gather on the first Saturday of each month to share their favorite post from the previous month. This month we're sharing our favorite post from MAY 2010!

I'll begin by sharing my favorite post. I chose: Are humans inherently good or bad? I chose this post because it is a topic I've been thinking about quite a bit and also, I absolutely LOVED the conversation that took place in the comments. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion–your thoughts sparked so many fresh ideas and I can't wait to write about it more!

::

Now it's YOUR TURN!

Here's how to participate:

  1. pick one of YOUR posts from the past month. Insert a link to that specific post (not just your home page) in The Mister Linky form here on my blog.
  2. compose a new post at your site with a link back here so your readers can participate, too. The more the merrier–it's always fun to discover new blogs!

THE SATURDAY EVENING BLOG POST is a celebration of family-friendly art, so please no links to products or giveaways. I'm looking forward to reading your submissions! Enjoy!

I had already selected my post for this month’s edition. I had everything prepped and ready. Thanks for hosting this as usual, EE!

Thanks for hosting this! This month it was actually hard to choose one because I felt like my heart was poured out in several of them, but alas I did choose :) Thanks again!

As someone just getting into committing the blog process after my old blog failed, I really appreciate these kind of opportunities!

We old folks consider death a lot and a recent death in the family put it on the front burner.

You know, I actually typed a long comment for the post you linked above, and it got lost in cyberspace!

That was a good post, Elizabeth!

It was a draw as to which of two of my May posts to submit. The winner of the “draw” is about displaying religious symbols, specifically the rosary.

Elizabeth your post about human nature as inherently good or evil has generated some great theological discussions and I will return to it often. As a life long Catholic this idea of total depravity was never on my radar screen. But now I have fundamentalist friends and relatives who talk this way and it forces me to think about my own beliefs. Thanks!

I’m so glad you linked that post! Somehow I never read it.

    As always, thanks for hosting.
You know, I never commented on your post about man being inherent good vs. bad, but I thought about it for days (am still thinking about it, in fact). I always find such engaging, thought-provoking stuff around here. Thanks!

Posted my ramblings on “Should Young Women Go to College?” Sort of a springboard from Jasmine Baucham’s column of the same name…enjoy!!!

I really enjoyed that post of yours. I’ve been Catholic all my life, and wasn’t ever subject to a lot of the depravity of man and pre-destination and stuff like that. I really enjoyed reading the conversation that resulted as well. God bless.

That was a good choice. The one I picked was actually a guest post on someone else’s blog…but that was absolutely my best work this month, so there you are. :) Thanks for hosting!
