“Love Wins” book giveaway

Caring is sharing! So in the grand spirit of sharing I’m offering one hard-bound copy of Rob Bell’s “Love Wins” to one of my readers. It’s the actual copy I purchased and read–so you’ll have to forgive several dog-eared pages. Otherwise, it’s in brand-spankin’-new condition! Plus? You get it for free! Why am I doing this? Because I’m nice. (And also, I have way too many books sitting around here and no place to store them!).

To enter, leave a comment. (Yes, I’ll ship outside the U.S.A.)

Yeah, it’s that simple. None of this tweet my blog, join my Facebook page, sell me your first-born child stuff.

Just leave a comment.

Ends at 7pm Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, April 13th. Winner will be randomly chosen and announced shortly thereafter.

What a lovely, win-win idea. Thanks for the chance to win a copy. As Paul Merrell says above, I’m interested in seeing what the fuss is about.

  • http://thebookbeast.blogspot.com SaraJ

I’m curious to read it also. The reviews I read about it (before it actually came out) assumed that all good Christians agreed with one particular interpretation of Scripture, so all good Christians would despise this book.

  • Kirsty Farrugia

Yeah for recycling! I’m hanging to read this book! I’m also happy to retweet :-)
    Have a sweet day!

  • AmyKate

Friends who know I listen to Rob Bell/Mars Hill sermons frequently keep asking me what I think about the book. My answer is simply, “I haven’t read it yet.” If I won and read your copy , I’d have to compose a much more eloquent, thoughtful, informed answer…well, at least informed. Even if I don’t win yours, I’ll read it soon. Thanks for the chance!

  • http://www.brookieblogs.blogspot.com Brooklynn

I’d love to win a copy!

  • http://katethegreatwvu.blogspot.com Kate

I would LOVE to read this book! It’s actually on my B&N wish list… Thanks for being so nice! :)

  • http://artsymuffin.blogspot.com Leanne

Since I’m tired of the “reviews” I’ve read by people who haven’t bothered to read the book, I am totally in!!! Very intrigued and interested in this book….

  • Renee Richardson

This is my first time hearing about this book and after reading the synopsis I’m sold. Thanks for the great chance to read it :)

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  • http://shinyhippos.blogspot.com chelsea

I’d LOVE to read this, I’ve been hearing/reading about it from Chile for about 2 months (it feels, but time passes weird here) and I def want to read it, I could use some non Spanish theological material (studying theology and psychology here on exchange from UCSB). :)

Also, your post about the Crucifix almost made me cry, I have an interesting relationship to the church (both Protestant and Catholic) like you and the way it was described pretty much tugged every heartstring I have especially regarding recent events. Keep being pursued.

  • http://www.hopefulleigh.blogspot.com HopefulLeigh

Whoa! This is totally on my To Read list and winning a copy will ensure I read it even sooner.

  • http://www.createdtobehis.com Becky

I’d love a copy. If I read it then I could allow myself to have an opinion on it :)

  • http://www.mylestonesblog.com Jo@Mylestones

You ARE nice, EE, and I’d love a copy of the book. Thanks!

  • Holly

I’d love to read the book! I’ve watched most of his Nooma movies and found them to be extremely thought provoking. He obviously challenges people’s thinking and makes them uncomfortable, which I don’t think is a bad thing. I’d like to know what all the uproar is about this time!

  • http://hippiehousewife.blogspot.com Cynthia

I was just saying to someone today I’ve heard enough about this book that I’d like to read it just to see what all the fuss is about!

  • Greg Jobe

I am enough of a Calvinist to know that I will only be rendomly chosen if God has predestined it.

Here’s hoping you are the chosen one!

  • Greg Jobe

by the way…this really is the definitive review of “Love Wins”. I promise that you will be glad you checked it out….

Oh, please pick me. And thanks for not making us do all that tweety, facebooky stuff!

  • Barb

Obviously I want to read the book or I wouldn’t ask! But I will say that what Greg posted about Don Miller’s book review is the BEST review I’ve seen. So I’m anxious to read it!

  • Valerie

It could be an interesting read! It would cost you a bit in shipping…so take that into consideration! :P

  • Liza R.

I’ve been interested in reading this since your review. Would love to be able to do so for free!

  • http://www.emuf.blogspot.com Emily

Thank you EE! The book has surfaced in a couple of other blogs I read, too. Your post about it was thought-provoking.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Katy-Anne

Why not? It would be nice to win something. :)

  • http://musings--aloud.blogspot.com Leah

Very timely giveaway choice! I’d love to win your lovingly worn copy.

  • http://downrightdomesticity.blogspot.com Maria D. @ Downright Domesticity

I’ve heard so much ABOUT the book, but have never actually read it. I’d love to make an opinion for myself!

  • KP

Oh, you rock. Giveaways (especially those that don’t require jumping through social media hoops) always make me feel like I’m a kid with a raffle ticket at a little league baseball game. :)

  • Angela

This is my official entry. And, no, you can’t have my firstborn.

  • jill jones

I’d love to read this one!!

  • http://catholicmutt.blogspot.com CMutt

Sounds like an interesting read; I’d love to see what all the hype is about.

  • HippieGramma

Pick Me! ahhmm…I mean, I will be delighted for whomever receives this (FREE) book. Thank you.

  • http:/curlyjos2cents.blogspot.com Stephanie

K…I’ll try it again. My original comment is floating out there in cyberspace somewhere. But do PICK ME, or someone else, but really I’d like it best if you would pick me! ;)

  • JessW

    Oh yay!! A chance to win a book and I don’t have to give up my first-born? That’s what I call a win-win! :)

  • D

Hi! I’ve been lurking for quite a whie now, but there’s nothing like free books to get me to speak up!

  • http://emaconly.blogspot.com/ Emily M.

For some stinkin’ reason I can’t find this book anywhere and haven’t put in the effort to getting it online. WANT.

  • Chris

Today’s my son’s birthday. I don’t think it’s bedtime reading for a three year old, but I’d still love to read it!

  • Melissa C.

I love your blog! And I love this give away! Thanks for sharing your perspective and thanks for sharing your books. :)

  • Rosemary

Always happy to receive free books :) . But the question is – will you ship outside the US – all the way to India? We’ll seeee ;) .

    L.O.V.E. your blog, btw.

  • Amy

    Love your blog. Pick me!

  • Staci

It is such a gracious offer you’ve made. Sounds like you read “Love Wins,” or something! I have read all of Rob Bell’s previous books, but haven’t bought this one yet. Would love to read it.

  • http://deodate.wordpress.com/ Andie

Very generous offer! I’ve seen some of Bell’s videos and I like them a lot. It’s the ‘real deal’ and he makes the faith so applicable to our daily lives. And, how could you ever go wrong with the title, ‘Love Wins’?

  • Eunice Lai

I follow your blog very closely. Your story has a lot of similarities to mine and so if you recommend a book, it should be something that is worth reading. Plus, being outside of the US, it’s harder to get a copy of books you may recommend. So I’d love to win the copy so I can know how this book is so good!

  • Crissy

Oooh yay! I’ve been wanting to read that.

  • http://www.frommyfrontstep.wordpress.com Lizzy

Ooh, the book sounds good and I’m curious to read it! :o ) I really appreciate what you write on your blog. Having come from a similar background myself, and like you, struggling with PTSD, I find it really encouraging to read about your struggles and triumphs. Thank you for sharing so honestly. God bless you.

  • http://theweitzels.wordpress.com Erin

    Pick me!!! :)

  • http://simply-rea.blogspot.com Rea

I’d love to win this so that I can actually discuss it in an informed manner.

  • Britt

:) . I’d love to read it! Yeah for the “international” shipping option too!

  • Anna

Hmmm….read the reviews – very mixed. Love books that get people thinking and talking; like this one. Pick me, pretty please ;-)
