Conquer your blog! {the impossible dream: blogging 365 days in 2013!}

Conquer your blog rather than the world. René Descartes wrote that. Or something like it. “Conquer yourself rather than the world” is the real quote—as paraphrased by Jean-Paul Sartre, that is. But I’m a narcissistic blogger so OF COURSE I make everything about me. And blogging. Hence: conquer your blog. Or, rather: conquer MY blog.

Oh, wait! This reminds me of an old-fashioned HYMN! Conquering now and still to conquer, rideth a King in His might, leading the host of all the faithful into the midst of the fight!!

Yes, I just produced that from memory. Producing hymns-on-demand is just one of my highly specialized, fundamentalist life skillz. Yep, I am like the walking jukebox of hymns. Put a life situation in my coin slot and I will produce a hymn to match.

It is not annoying at all.

But I digress.

The point is, the time is far spent for neglecting my blog. [NOTE: I can also produce KJV-sounding phrases on demand; i.e.. time is far spent. Do you see? This is why you need to read my blog! WHO ELSE, I ask you, CAN DO ALL THESE FANCY TRICKS? For free, might I remind you!]

Aaaaand back.

Focus now, EE. Focus.

Conquering my blog is important because my blog has been annoying the crap out of me. Probably because I’ve been neglecting it.

Also, I seem to have forgotten How One Blogs. I have grown allergic to stats. I despise platforms. I have become all disillusioned about promoting my brraaaaaannnd.

Still. I love to write. And I love blogging.

Remember when we were like friends and stuff? Remember when we used to argue in the comments? Those were good times. I miss that.

So. I’m gonna get back to this thing. Which is to say, YES I’M WRITING A BOOK, but I can still take like 10 minutes to pound out a post. To share a quote. A story. Something.

Also, I miss you.

So. Here’s my little New Year’s gift to you : I’m gonna start blogging again. EVERY DAY. Yes!

This is a setup for failure, I’m sure. I’m trying not to think about that. I’m going to pretend that I’m all in love with my blog and I can’t live without it.

I’m gonna go old-school and start pouring out my life all over the Internet again.

I can’t promise it will be AWESOME. But it will be REAL. And messy. And probably slightly over-share-y. Not annoying at all, am I right?!

CONQUERING NOW AND STILL TO CONQUER!
